How Might Homeopathy Help

Homeopaths believe homeopathy can help with any condition in which the body has the potential to self-repair. As a result, they suggest homeopathy can be used to treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Homeopathy is popular. However, despite extensive research, thereâs no good quality evidence that homeopathy is effective as a treatment for any health condition. There are no studies on homeopathy for Parkinsons.

Homeopathy isnât widely available on the NHS. In 2017, NHS England recommended that GPs and other prescribers should stop providing it. It is available privately.

Practitioners

Some health professionals, including doctors, nurses and pharmacists, are trained in homeopathy and use it alongside conventional medical treatment. Theyre all regulated by their relevant professional body for example, GPs are regulated by the General Medical Council.

Some homeopaths arent medically qualified. Currently, there are no national standards of training and accreditation for these practitioners. If you decide to see a homeopath who isnt medically qualified, you should check theyre insured and registered with a professional body.

Abstract

1. Introduction

Fatigue is one of the most common chronic and annoying complaints in cardiac patients . Fatigue causes respiratory problems, insomnia, depression, and isolation . Further, chronic fatigue in patients may lead to suicide . Various studies have reported the prevalence of fatigue in cardiac patients to be more than 50% .

There are several treatments to reduce fatigue, including diet, medication, psychotherapy, and herbal remedies. Although the existing drugs reduce or eliminate the patients fatigue , they are associated with problems, such as drug interactions and side effects, or have no absolute effect on fatigue relief . Therefore, it is necessary to use relatively safer methods with fewer side effects.

The research hypothesis was that inhalation aromatherapy with essential oils of lavender and peppermint could reduce fatigue in cardiac patients.

How Might Osteopathy Help

Osteopathy is commonly used for conditions caused by problems with the nerves, joints and muscles, such as back and neck problems, joint pain or injuries. NICE guidelines recommend that osteopathy be considered as a treatment for back pain.

Some osteopaths believe they can also help relieve general health problems such as asthma, jaw problems and painful periods. However there is no good evidence that this is true.

How Cbd Oil Works To Alleviate Symptoms Of Parkinsons Disease

According to a 2017 study, the manipulation of the endocannabinoid system may have an essential role in the treatment of the symptoms of Parkinsons disease.

The ECS modulates several physiological functions, like mood, motor control, and cognition. The cannabinoid receptors of the ECS, particularly cannabinoid receptor 1, are abundant in the basal ganglia.

The study suggests that manipulating the ECS could improve motor symptoms and other Parkinsons disease symptoms.

One way to manipulate the ECS is through the introduction of laboratory-derived or medical marijuana-derived cannabinoids in the body. The primary cannabinoids that come from the marijuana plant are CBD and THC.

It has been suggested in the studies mentioned above that CBD might be helpful in the treatment of Parkinsons disease.

Common symptoms of Parkinsons disease include the following:

Early Symptoms

  • Constipation
  • Skin problems

Parkinsons disease may, later on, develop into Parkinsons disease dementia. This condition affects a persons cognitive functions, including remembering things, paying attention, or communicating with others.

CBD for Inflammation

Cholinesterase Activity In Eos

The most common criteria used in the determination of AD is related to anti-cholinesterase activity. Cholinesterases are specialised carboxylic ester hydrolases that catalyse the hydrolysis of choline esters. Two types of ChE activity have been identified in mammalian blood and tissues, which are distinguished according to their substrate specificity and sensitivity to selective inhibitors. The first is acetylcholinesterase , which is systematically known as acetylcholine acetylhydrolase . The second is butyrylcholinesterase , which is systematically referred to as acetylcholine acyl hydrolase . The preferred substrate for AChE is acetylcholine , while butyrylcholine and propionylcholine are ideal for BChE . AChE activity is known to be inhibited by several compounds, with toxins and drugs as the major inhibitors . AChE activity is used in verifying treatment effects, especially in AD .

What Are Some Integrative Therapies To Consider For Parkinsons

More info on this topic

Parkinsons is a complex disease that manifests in different ways for everyone and includes both motor and non-motor symptoms, from tremors and dyskinesia to depression and cognitive difficulties. Because the spectrum of experiences is broad, many people seek a variety of treatments and practices to manage symptoms. These approaches include holistic, or integrative therapies, in addition to standard pharmacological and surgical treatments.

Essential Oils For Parkinsons Disease What Does The Research Say

Essential oils are being used as natural remedies for treating various health conditions. They have been using for stress and pain relief, to improve skin condition, and for better sleep. And now some reports suggest that they can relieve the symptoms of Parkinsons disease.

So what are essential oils and do they really help people with Parkinsons disease? Lets find out in this article.

Parkinsons disease is a brain condition that affects body movement. The disease is caused by the death of certain cells in the brain called dopaminergic neurons. These cells are named dopaminergic because they produce dopamine, which is a well-known neurotransmitter responsible for body movement.

While no one knows exactly why these cells die, researchers think that various factors may contribute to this process. One key factor is oxidative stress.

Oxidative stress occurs when brain cells produced free radicals at abnormally higher levels. These radicals cause damage to vital components of brain cells like DNA, protein, and lipids, and ultimately leads to Parkinsons disease.

The essential oil has a strong antioxidant property, meaning that it can offset the effects of oxidative stress, so it is not surprising to think that essential oils could help Parkinsons symptoms.
